Lesson for Inauguration Day - ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ผ

Greetings!

January 20 will be a historic day for the US. Donald Trump will take office for the second time as President of the United States. He will be only the second president to serve two non-consecutive terms. (Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th president of the United States, serving from 1885 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1897.)

Typically on this day, the president will put his hand on a Bible and swear to "faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Have you ever stopped to think about why Presidents take their oath of office on a Bible? Do they open it up randomly or do they purposefully choose a verse in which to swear their duty and honesty to their country?

Find out in this unique lesson on Presidents, the Bible, and Their Oath of Office.

This lesson has everything you need for an interesting, easy lesson.

We try extra hard to make sure that Jesus' birthday does not get lost in all the busyness. When my kids were young, we would read the Nativity story almost every day in December, either from a kid's story book or from the Bible itself. The great thing about young kids is that they don't mind hearing the...

Greetings! We've been having a blast this fall with unseasonably warm weather and nice days! We are so grateful to God for all He provides and the beauty of the fall colors and trees right now. On colder evenings, we've been working on something new for our readers. We started a once-a-week Bible story time at our church. After the drag queens started a story time at our local library, we knew we needed to counter it with something based on God's word. Our 30 minute story time includes...
