Lesson for Inauguration Day - 👨‍💼

Greetings!

January 20 will be a historic day for the US. Donald Trump will take office for the second time as President of the United States. He will be only the second president to serve two non-consecutive terms. (Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th president of the United States, serving from 1885 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1897.)

Typically on this day, the president will put his hand on a Bible and swear to "faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Have you ever stopped to think about why Presidents take their oath of office on a Bible? Do they open it up randomly or do they purposefully choose a verse in which to swear their duty and honesty to their country?

Find out in this unique lesson on Presidents, the Bible, and Their Oath of Office.

This lesson has everything you need for an interesting, easy lesson.

What's Included?

⭐️ Brief Reading Passage about the history of the oath of office and the Bible

⭐️ Popular Verses Chosen By Presidents

⭐️ Question Sheet to Examine the Verses on Their Own

Enjoy!

God Bless!
