Want to know the favorite part of my week?

🌟Greetings!🌟

A couple of years ago we started a Bible story time at our church. Every Monday for 45 minutes we invite caregivers and their kids to join us in praying, learning a memory verse, singing, dancing, and of course, reading stories with a Bible theme!

We always start the day with a fun song to welcome the kids and remind them that God loves each one of them. Our church doesn't have a great space to host a Bible story but we haven't let this stop us; we just do it in the foyer of the church and invite members of the community to come.

We are starting a new theme this spring and I'm so excited about this series of books we have picked out. The books are from a series called "With Jesus I am...." We are tying this into a Heroes of the Bible story time each week. (I'll be sending more info on that soon.)

Maybe this makes you want to start your own story time? (Which I'd highly recommend!!) Here's a sample you can download for free. And some ideas to get your started:

Bible Story Time

Theme: Pick a theme and center your stories around that theme. Fun themes may include the Fruit of the Spirit, Bible Heroes, Christian Nursery Rhymes, Life of Jesus, Holidays, etc.

Where: Pick a consistent day and time to do the story time each week. Ask your church if they would host one and make a flyer on Canva to advertise.

Main Verse: Pick a verse to act out and repeat throughout the story time.

Books: Choose 3-4 books related to your theme.

Activities: Young kids have short attention spans. Try alternating between activities. For example, read a book and then stand up and sing a favorite Bible song. Read another book and do a finger play activity.

We hope you enjoy these fun resources!

God Bless!
